As the second most taught language internationally after English, with a readership beyond that and sorry for the number of students, French is definitely the language to know for this day. With English, French is the only other "international" language spoken on five continents. The international body supervising the following of the French language is known as the International Organization of la Francophonie, where 51 countries and member states and these states have 51, 28 countries have French as their official language.The widespread use of French as a language can also be inferred from the fact that the French, with English the official language of many towering organizations in the world, including the UN, NATO, UNESCO, the International Red Cross and the Association of IOC (the International Olympic Committee), to name a few. A recent research has found that nearly 70% of U.S. jobs require or prefer the aspirants who know French, other than English, which is a testament to the importance of French.
